Within the framework of cooperation between the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy (MOERE), the New and Renewable Energy Authority (NREA), the Electricity Utility and Consumer Protection Regulatory Agency (EgyptERA), Electricity Distribution Companies (DISCOs) , as well as the private sector, the Egyptian-German Joint Committee on Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency and Environmental Protection (JCEE) and in collaboration with NREA have completed successfully the capacity building program for PV enterprises for 500 trainees on the following topics:
- On-Grid hands on installation including operation and Maintenance
(repeated 12 sessions)
- Off-Grid hands on installation including operation and Maintenance
(repeated 10 Sessions)
- Business development skills (repeated 5 sessions)
- Train of Trainees, ToT (repeated 2 sessions)
Around 500 participants were acquired the needed knowledge and
skills for on-grid, off-grid and business skills for PV market in Egypt. The
participants were chosen from different categories, (Governmental stakeholders
like DISCOs, EgyptERA, NREA, & PV private companies, universities students
and graduated engineers.
The feedback from all the participant is very promising. Given the
great success and the high demand on having another round of the assignment.
