  • The total installed capacities in Zafarana wind farm is 745 MW in 2015/2016.
  • The wind farms includes 700 turbines from different models (600 kw, 660 kw, 850 kw).
  • This wind farms were implemented on several stages since 2001, through Governmental cooperation protocols with Germany, Denmark, Spain and Japan.

Wind power plant capacity of 240 MW (Jabal Al-Zayt 1)
  • The station was implemented in cooperation with the German Construction Bank (KfW), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Commission (EU).
  • Type of turbine G80 .
  • The number of turbines is 120 turbines and the capacity of each turbine is 2 MW (240 MW).
  • Executing companies:(GAMESA-ENERGYA-CAIRO CONTRACTING COMPANY).
