As part of the expansion of wind energy projects in the Gulf of Suez, and in line with Egypt’s commitments to the Sustainable Development Goals and the protection of biodiversity, the New and Renewable Energy Authority organized a free training program entitled: “Classification and Monitoring of Birds at the Gabal El-Zeit Site in the Gulf of Suez, during the period from 15 to 20 September 2025.” Activities of the first day – Monday, 15 September 2025: • Opening session remarks by the participating entities • Lecture on the technical specifications of wind turbines • Lecture on the environmental approach to renewable energy activities, environmental agreements, and the Sustainable Development Goals • Lecture entitled “Bird Migration and the Importance of the Gulf of Suez as a Global Flyway.”
