On Friday, January 31, 2026, New and Renewable Energy Authority (NREA) welcomed a delegation from Misr University during a field visit to the Zafarana Wind Farm.

The visit comes within the framework of strengthening cooperation between NREA and academic institutions, providing students with an opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge of wind and solar energy projects, the operation of the wind farm, and its role in supporting Egypt’s strategy toward clean and sustainable energy.

The visit included an introductory tour of the site, along with a practical explanation of the technologies used in generating electricity from wind energy, helping students link theoretical knowledge with real-world applications.
